A deadly virus has arrived, and the king of Flagg, a city at the top of a hill, is determined to keep his city safe. He locks the gates of Flagg, keeping the old people and small children inside. But the working population, the adults, are abandoned outside. Ten years later, the young children are now teenagers, and things are desperate in Flagg. The King is dead and there isn't enough food. Corrupt leaders are in control. Some hungry teens become part of a secret rebel group. Hoping to find food outside Flagg, they build a secret tunnel to the 'Unknown'. But what dangers wait for them there?
